S. Max Brown to deliver keynote address

(San Antonio, TX and Montreal, QC, April 27, 2011)

S. Max Brown of Recognition Management Institute (RMI), a division of Rideau Recognition Solutions, Inc., will present the keynote address for the 14th Annual Conference of Recognition Professionals International, May 1 – 4 at downtown San Antonio’s Grand Hyatt .

His topic: “Real Recognition: What’s Love Got To Do With It?” It is no surprise that research findings demonstrate that formal, informal and day-to-day recognition programs, when linked to the organizations values and goals, contribute to a positive work environment that improves employee engagement, performance and retention. “The question isn’t whether recognition works or not – it does,” relates Max. “The challenge is that most recognition attempts fall short of the desired outcome. Why? The recognition simply isn’t delivered effectively.”

“Improving recognition practices among organizations while boosting the ROI of corporate recognition programs are important objectives of RMI. I am looking forward to providing conference participants with an understanding of the impact of “real recognition”. Specifically, I am excited to talk about how an abundance mentality, empathy, & love make recognition REAL.”

As Vice President of Organizational Learning at the Recognition Management Institute, S. Max Brown brings his years of experience in leadership training, speaking, and facilitating to groups and companies around the world. He shares his perspective about the challenges of motivating diverse groups of people with companies such as American Express, GE, HSBC, and The Nature Conservancy. Participants rave about his interactive, engaging style earning him consistently high ratings.

The Recognition Professional International 14th Annual Conference attracts professionals from the human resources, talent management, and employee engagement fields.  RPI President, Kevin Cronin, proclaims that, “The outstanding speakers and topics we’re presenting and the discussions we’re promoting this year make this the most impressive recognition conference we’ve ever held.”
