Governor Arne Carlson

Arne Carlson is the former Governor of Minnesota. He currently serves as the Chairman Emeritus of River Source Funds. In March 2007, he was named the industry’s “outstanding Mutual Fund Director.” As Governor (1990-1999), Mr. Carlson consistently advocated policies that created quality job opportunities for Minnesotans. Prior to his term as Governor, Mr. Carlson served as Minnesota State Auditor from 1978 through 1990. He has received numerous recognition awards for his dedication to improving Minnesota’s quality of life. Mr. Carlson was born in New York City and grew up in the Bronx. He graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, MA and attended Graduate School at the University of Minnesota.
