“In a business world of downsizing, transformation, lean thinking, and about a dozen other buzz phrases that affect employees work lives, Real Recognition Radio is a refreshing oasis about celebrating the greatness of people and viewing employees as your greatest resource not your biggest cost. Much needed!"  Nancy Kelly, University of Michigan Health System

Louis, or Louie as he likes to be called, was an Olympic athlete at the Games in Berlin when Hitler was in power. World War II broke out and Louie joined the U.S. Air Corps as a bombardier and on a routine search mission over the Pacific his plane crashed into the ocean. After surviving in a life raft, drifting 2,000 miles for 47 days into Japanese controlled waters, he faced his rescuers who were also his torturers, and suffered the remainder of the war in a series of prison camps.   Louie endured incredible hardships almost too unbearable to believe.

Today at 94 years of age, Louie is still spry, and full of life.

His is truly a story of courage, selflessness and humanity.

Don’t miss this incredible Real Recognition Radio program to hear the first and only interview featuring the author, Laura Hillenbrand and the subject, Louis Zamperini together.
