Rideau Recognition’s Client-Partners’ Earn Numerous Appearances on Canada’s Top Employers List

Rideau Recognition, a global provider of employee recognition and engagement solutions, is proud to congratulate 31 of its client-partners for appearing on Canada’s Top 100 Employers 2019. Celebrating the 20th year of ranking the top Canadian employers, the top 100 represents some of the best, employee-focused companies the Canadian employment market has to offer.  “Our client-partners represent almost a third of the list and represents such a variety of industries, size, and diversity of cultures that about the only thing they have in common is their use of employee recognition to help drive results”, says Rideau President and CEO, Peter W. Hart.

The prestigious list is compiled by Toronto-based Mediacorp Canada Inc. and compares each organization’s policies and catalogue of best practices to others in their industry and region. The companies are then ranked based on their final comparative scores. The annual list is compiled by Canada’s Top 100 Employers editing team using rigorous criteria in eight key areas: 1) physical workplace; 2) work atmosphere and social; 3) health, financial and family benefits; 4) vacation and time off; 5) employee communications; 6) performance management; 7) training and skills development; and 8) community involvement.

An annual national competition, any employer with its head office or principal place of business in Canada may apply for Canada’s Top 100 Employers regardless of size or whether within the private or public sector.

Rideau’s Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director of Vistance Analytics & Learning, Jennifer Lumba, commented.  “Rideau is proud to recognize our 31 clients who have become among the top 100 Employers in Canada!  These clients understand that recognition is a key driver to engagement and moving their KPIs in the right direction and we are incredibly proud to be their strategic partner!”

According to Mediacorp, there were a record number of employers that took part in the selection process. Mediacorp went through the recruitment histories of more than 95,000 Canadian employers and from those results invited 9,801 employers to submit detailed applications, including a comprehensive review of their operations and HR practices for comparative purposes.

“These companies have been recognized for their dedication to creating work cultures that show appreciation to their employees by investing in their education, supporting them with unique work/life balance solutions, and support their community involvement – all things that are non-negotiables for a large majority of today’s workforce”, says Hart.  “The fact that all of these companies are very successful in what they do is not a coincidence and ties back directly to how they treat their employees.”
